Major Areas of Accountability

1. Ownership of the quality, timeliness, documentation, and safety of each installation
2. Lead and train the installation crew to complete jobs per company specifications
3. Layout and assembly of solar modules, array and mounting hardware
4. Coordination of materials
5. Customer point of contact
6. Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
7. Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC & DC) and system commissioning
8. Install jobs within a specified timeframe and document completion of installation
9. Clean up of job site
10. Additional duties required as needed

Knowledge and Skills Required

• 2+ years of previous solar experience OR 5+ years of roofing/construction work
• Progress towards a NABCEP license
• Strong work ethic
• Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills required
• Solar troubleshooting capability
• Detail oriented and shows pride in work
• Effective management of a small team
• Must be willing to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops
• Must have valid driver license and clean driving record
• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal and drug screen
• Apprentice Electrical License required, Journeyman Electrical License preferred

Physical Demands
Employee is required to walk, lift heavy objects, climb ladders and stairs, work on rooftops and work in extreme heat conditions

Position Title: Solar Project Manager

Department: Technical Operations

Reports to: Operations Manager

Primary Objective: The Solar Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of a commercial solar installation. Project Managers oversee both their crew and the jobsite. They directly communicate job and performance status to operations management, and ensure the completion of installation of all solar arrays/systems. The Solar Project Manager ensures safe work practices for the installation team.
