San Angelo, Texas
The Texas State Bank in San Angelo, Texas has a 94.8kW NATiVE Solar carport that has been producing over 140,000 kWh every year since it’s installation in 2016. The primary solar components are 300 SolarTech 315 watt solar modules, two SMA inverters and a galvanized carport structure manufactured by S:Flex.
The solar array started generating electricity in February 2016, and over the spring and summer, the bank was seeing savings of $900- $1000 a month, or about 20% of their monthly energy bill. The monthly savings are on pace to offset the entire project cost in less than 10 years, which is in line with the original project cash flow projections.
We are very satisfied with our system and we’re on track for the projected 10 year payback. The system performs as expected, provides us with some much needed summer shade, and covers over 20% of our electricity needs.
