Having a small footprint and relatively small operation, the Tecolote Farm solar PV system needed to only be 14.0kW. The system is made up of 56 Hanwha 250W solar panels roof-mounted on their barn, supplying all of the power needed for their three walk-in coolers (their largest energy requirement). Their produce is never more than 24 hours old, so they use a three-stage cooling system to chill their vegetables to ensure they are the freshest when they are delivered to the customer.
