The Laerdal Medical Project is a 282.88kW solar electric (PV) system consisting of (832) Mission Solar 340W PV Modules spread across two arrays installed on an R-Panel ridge roof with TPO using the IronRidge racking system. The panels are performing very well as all arrays are at an azimuth of 198° with a tilt 8° respectively. These arrays are located in unobstructed sunlight, receiving over 5.13 Sun Peak hours a day. The area of roof the panels take up is approximately 26,548 square feet.
This commercial solar PV system produces 411,468kWh of electricity annually to offset 50.20% of the electrical needs for Laerdal Medical Corporation. The system is tied into the Hamilton County Electric Cooperative (HCEC) utility grid.
